Can text messages replace emails?

Text messages can not replace emails, emails provide many advantages that text messages do not. Emails have the ability to attach files such as photos, pdf, Rar etc. Also have the ability to write long messages and in different formats such as HTML, emails can be checked by threads and have the feature that can be organized in folders or subfolders and even archive them on our own hard drive. Another feature is that we can use the tool to search emails by specific keywords.

The text messages are more informal and serve for a brief and fast communication for example can be used to notify meetings or in case some employee is late to work to ask if everything is ok. They also serve to talk in a group of informal things and to send images, audios or videos.
