Web-based and IMAP-based e-mail

When using Web-based or IMAP emails, emails are stored on the server and these services usually have limited space, we run the risk of running out of storage space and we must delete some emails or buy additional space. But there are many mail servers that allow to archive the emails allowing to free the space of the server and store them on our own computer, it can be an advantage for the server remains inactive we can always check our emails.

It should be noted that the use of web-based email, user entered personal registration information such as name, address, surnames, passwords and contact information, all this information is stored on third party servers and always run the risk of being hijacked by putting all personal user information at risk and all e-mail, also web-based email will not allow archiving emails on the hard drive and will rarely make copies of messages sent to the folder ‘Sent’. Therefore these characteristics of web-based emails should be taken in care by users.
