Benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing

Benefits

• Renting a cloud based computing system you can cut down expenses by removing hardware devices.
• the business is not paying for assets which it then owns and can maintain for several years, allowing it to potentially save money long term.
• Accessible anywhere from multiple devices, so long as an internet connection is established.

Security can also be improved by storing your data on one central location.
• To add/remove an employee to the network simply give them a device to access the network and a credentials to the cloud infrastructure.

Drawbacks

• Long term, cloud computing can be expensive.
• Require internet connection to access all your data.
• Data centralization could be risky because the company who offer the cloud services could lost all his servers in a disaster and lost all the data.
• May the company exceed his cloud computing and data storage and this cause excess of cost in the cloud service.
