About Me

Aitor Alcaniz

My passion for the computer starts at an early age when my father gave me my first computer in the 2000’s where I quickly began to inquire about Hardware and Internet at that early age (12) I repaired and installed new devices in my own pc, there was the beginning, when I began to understand the various parts that had a pc, but over time I came to a new technology that fascinated me INTERNET, for my was a magic thing. I could visit a multitude of websites, consult any information instantly, use apps like Messenger and download my favourite music.

At the time I discovered the Software, I started to create webs with information about the school where I studied, my friends and some hobbies. My great knowledge of the operating system led me to repair computers of family and friends.

One summer an acquaintance who studied computer science gave me a C book that he no longer used and I started to read and to realize some programs that the book proposed so I discovered the programming was an art that no one understood only me, however much I tried to teach friends no one could learn soon I knew that was what I wanted to study.

I started to study the 1st year a Higher Degree of design of computer applications in Valencia (Spain) in the institute IES Jaume El Just in 2008 where I began to understand everything related to programming with more clarity, I discovered JAVA a language that I was not very passionate and that In time I conquered my heart. With time began to use graphic libraries Swing can create graphic programs much more intuitive but I was missing some parts to be a programmer, which the following year I learned. The introduction of SQL in my knowledge, object-oriented programming with PHP and JAVA, sockets and threads made me a much more complete and prepared programmer, so I found the piece that I was missing. I was already able to create dynamic web using all technologies PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and graphic applications that could be connected to each other using sockets. That same year also I learned the internal functioning of all the components that formed a pc creating in me a new hobby and new knowledge like liquid cooling, computer networks and wifi.

My passing through the Polytechnic University of Valencia opened my mind to many more knowledge of computer science than unknown such as logic, mathematics, data structures, analysis of codes, networks, advanced programming, Software Engineering, Frameworks…

My dream of being a programmer had come true when I started working on Junior programmer Everis where I worked on various projects testing applications. A year later I ascended to a programmer where I can solve software and development problems.

Over time I decided to move to the UK to have new experiences and improve my knowledge. One of my goals was to learn English so I could study a course and thus improve my knowledge. Currently I live in United Kingdom and I study a Level 3 Certificate in Web Design and Development (QCF).
